What is PT?
“Pediatric physical therapists (PTs) work with children and their families to assist each child in reaching their maximum potential to function independently and to promote active participation in home, school, and community environments…. Pediatric physical therapy promotes independence, increases participation, facilitates motor development and function, improves strength and endurance, enhances learning opportunities, and eases challenges with daily caregiving.” (Section on Pediatrics, American Physical Therapy Association – The ABCs of Pediatric Physical Therapy)
Our Mission:
Our goal is to support your child’s development of gross motor skills through parent/caregiver guidance, education and support. We believe that supporting and educating families/caregivers provides the best outcome for every child.
Does my child need to see a pediatric PT?
PT’s can help children and their family with many concerns, including:
- Delay in general gross motor milestones (e.g. late walkers)
- Genetic, muscular or neurological diagnosis
- Flattening of the head or tightness of the neck
- Poor balance, motor planning and/or coordination
- Muscle weakness or muscle tightness
- Recovery/rehabilitation from sport related injuries
- Need for durable medical equipment (e.g. braces, wheelchair, walker)
Our Testimonials
It has been so nice working with Carrie With RL therapy Group. Although COVID hit right as we started therapy I feel like she has been extremely helpful through telegram that and we have made huge strides with our little one. She is very personable, kind and extremely patient. I feel very confident in her skills.
